About Toly
A beauty packaging group with a toolmaker's roots
Toly is privately owned and focused on the beauty industry, covering make-up, skincare, fragrance and promotional packaging, made in its own factories or through a global network of trading partners.
Where it started
In 1956 Dr. Zoli Gatesy, a toolmaker, left Hungary for the UK as a refugee. In 1966 he founded a company making building tools and injection moulding for the toy industry.
Toly Products followed in 1971, set up in Malta with a commitment to employ 40 people. By 1975 it had specialised in compacts for face powders, blushers and eyeshadows.
Growing across regions
Over the decades the group added sales offices and factories in Europe, the USA and Asia. Its UK offices moved to Marlow in 2007, Malta gained new corporate offices and an Innovation Centre in 2014, and a new Malta factory opened in 2019.
Four values
People, Passion, Pride and Creativity. Toly describes itself as a way of life, with a strong family spirit.
